Greetings and welcome to another great season of Jazz in Vail!
Although the Vail Jazz Festival runs over a 12 week period beginning in late June, our volunteer opportunities are ongoing, and we can use your help any time of year! The Vail Jazz Foundation could not operate without the unselfish support of numerous friends and volunteers who provide assistance, advice, moral support and plain old hard work! We ask volunteers to work a minimum of 8 hours. For every four hours worked, volunteers will earn one ticket to a show during the Vail Jazz Party over Labor Day Weekend; eight hours earns two tickets. At this time, we are most in need of help with ad sales and general office support - filing, colating, organizing, answering phones, etc.
Come Spring, we will have more opportunities! During the summer, our volunteers do the following:
- distributing event posters and flyers
- set up / tear down of Thursday night events
- ticket and merchandise sales on Thursday nights
- stage hands
- set up / tear down of Sunday market events
- merchandise sales on Sundays at the market
Over Labor Day Weekend, our needs are a little different and many more volunteers are needed for this incredible event!
