The 19th Annual Vail Jazz Festival will be a 12 week-long program of jazz concerts consisting of four distinctive performance series.  The Vail Jazz Festival is a summer-long celebration of America's musical gift to the world - Jazz.

The Vail Jazz Foundation has created a different kind of festival experience – inspiring and engaging, sophisticated yet easy going. The Summer of Jazz in Vail offers internationally acclaimed jazz ensembles and soloists as well as local and regional favorites.  Preferred seating is $20 in advance; $25 day of show.  Remainder of tent is free on a first come, first served basis.

Jazz @ Vail Square returns to Lionshead for shows outside the Arrabelle in Vail. Presented in a tented venue seating 300+, this dynamic concert series features national jazz artists with styles ranging from Swing to straight ahead, Latin Jazz to the American Songbook. Whether you enjoy the show from a seat in a nearby restaurant, or from the the tent with a cocktail, Jazz @ Vail Square creates intimate jazz experiences that you won’t soon forget.

The Vail Jazz Foundation presents ten FREE outdoor concerts featuring local and regionally-based jazz talent at the Vail Farmers’ Market and Art Show, Sundays from noon to 3 pm. The jazz concerts are a natural complement to the fabulous shopping and wonderful food for which the casual outdoor market is known.  Jazz @ the Market is presented in a tent at Solaris on Meadow Drive in Vail Village.  Concerts start at noon with seating for up to 100 inside the tent.  Stop by to check out refreshing jazz groups at the market, and enjoy!

JAZZ AFTER - Orchestra Jazz Jams

Returning in 2013, in partnership with Bravo! Vail, after three of the concerts at the Ford Amphitheater, the Great Room at Larkspur Restaurant will be transformed into a jazz club and hosts select members of each of the resident orchestras as they perform jazz.

The Festival culminates in a unique mix of world-class musicians in a one-of-a-kind format that has lived up to its title, the Labor Day Weekend Party. Whether it's group performances, multi-artist jam sessions or the inspiring multi-media salutes to Jazz legends, the Weekend has a unique party spirit that attracts musicians and jazz lovers from all over the world. Each year, up-and-coming "young lions" play alongside the living legends of jazz in an intimate venue, surrounded by the natural beauty of Vail. With twenty five hours of performances throughout the weekend (morning, noon and night), the audience and musicians are connected in a manner that consistently inspires great performances.
