Jessica Lee - Alto Saxophone |

Recipient of a Presidential Scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Jessica Lee will major in jazz performance and music education. An honors student and alto saxophone player, she earned the Lead Alto spot at the 2008 IMEA Allstate Honors Jazz Ensemble. At 14, Jessica joined the Harper College Jazz Ensemble and has made guest performances for Chicago area Korean-American events during the last four years. She was also a member of the Carl Sandburg High School Jazz I Band and the Merit School of Music Honors Jazz Ensemble, Latin and concert jazz bands, and Honors Saxophone Quartet. In 2005, she performed in concert with Maynard Ferguson’s Big Bop Nouveau Band. Jessica’s studies include intense practice and self-teaching. She has given saxophone lessons since 2003 and performed professionally since 2004. Her awards include Stevenson Band Outstanding Jazz Instrumentalist and Outstanding Soloist at Rolling Meadows and Northshore Jazz Festivals.
